Mental Health: Yduqs joins the Mente em Foco Movement

Company reinforces its commitment to emotional well-being across its educational and corporate community

Rio de Janeiro, September 01, 2025 - This month, as mental health awareness gains momentum in public discourse, Yduqs takes a significant step forward in its ESG agenda by joining the Mente em Foco (“Mind in Focus”) Movement, an initiative of the United Nations Global Compact in Brazil. By joining over 100 organizations committed to creating healthier work environments, Yduqs strengthens its role as a transformative force in society.

Mental health is an increasingly urgent issue in Brazil and worldwide. According to the World Health Organization, Brazil has the highest rate of anxiety in the world, with 18.6 million people diagnosed, and more than 16 million Brazilians experiencing depression — a 34% increase in recent years, according to the IBGE. In this context, the Mente em Foco Movement outlines clear actions: offering support channels and qualified professionals, training leaders to act as agents of transformation, breaking stigma, and promoting long-term practices for physical, social, and emotional care.

At Yduqs, mental health is an ongoing commitment. “Mental health is no longer optional for any company. At Yduqs, it is — and will remain in the years to come — at the center of our People strategy. When we prioritize this dimension, we create a safer, more collaborative and productive environment. Joining the Mente em Foco Movement reinforces a commitment we’ve been building through concrete actions, such as strengthening the Equilibre program, implementing data-based listening practices, and empowering leaders as agents of change. Taking care of mental health is a business decision and, above all, a responsibility toward our community,” says Camila Asenjo, Vice President of People, Management and Infrastructure.

Launched in 2020, the Equilibre Program has been consistently expanded, and in 2025 incorporated a specific mental health pillar. Based on employee feedback through surveys and dialogue channels, the program now addresses physical, social, financial, and emotional dimensions. One of the latest initiatives is a partnership with the platform Wellz, which offers free access to online therapy, guided meditation, and self-care content. “This leadership is a direct result of our internal efforts,” adds Camila.

The decision to join the Mente em Foco Movement also reinforces Yduqs’s institutional and social responsibility. “Signing the ‘Mente em Foco’ commitment is a bold and intentional way of stating that mental health is part of our daily reality. It’s part of our ESG agenda, part of our social commitment, and part of how we care for our people. We want an environment where every team member feels safe and supported — in our offices and in our classrooms,” says Cláudia Romano, President of Instituto Yduqs and Vice President of Government Relations, ESG and Communications.
