Applications open for the 5th edition of the trainee selection process exclusively for Black candidates
Applications are now open for our 2026 Trainee Program, which for the fifth consecutive year is exclusively for individuals who self-identify as Black or Brown. Awarded in the category of promoting education, training and development of Black and Indigenous people by the UN Global Compact initiative “Raça é prioridade” the program stands out as one of the most comprehensive career accelerators in the country. It identifies, prepares and develops professionals to work across Brazil’s education sector. Applications are open until August 31.
To apply, candidates must meet the following requirements: self-identify as Black or Brown, be available to travel, and hold a degree in any undergraduate program. This year, knowledge of Excel and English is not required.
The program is aimed at students who have graduated or will graduate between December 2022 and December 2025, in any field and from any region of Brazil, as long as they have mobility and are available to live in Rio de Janeiro.
Representation and the job market
According to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), only 30% of Black or Brown professionals occupy analyst or specialist positions. Programs like Yduqs’ help these professionals move up one more step and prepare for higher-level roles in the future.
Leone Duarte, who holds a degree in Business Administration, found a place where he felt represented. “I wanted a program where I felt seen, where I had a voice and could identify with others. Once I joined, I felt free to express myself and share my ideas. It was comforting to see people with the same skin tone as mine. This program opened my mind and gave me the opportunity to help change other people’s stories.”
For Rayanne Araújo, who studied Systems Analysis and Development, the motivation to apply was the chance to accelerate her career. Hugo Braga, a Public Relations graduate, joined the program on his second attempt and moved from Bahia to Rio de Janeiro. He is happy and excited to take on this new challenge.
The 2025 cohort includes 11 participants from different states across Brazil.
