2023 Integrated Report Highlights Yduqs' Progress and Achievements in ESG Matters
In 2023, Yduqs celebrated lots of achievements, advancements, and recognitions that affirm its commitment to the agenda of environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) responsibility. This year significantly marked the company's ESG journey, which, in October 2023, established itself as the only higher education company in the world to receive an AA rating from the MSCI, a global agency assessing sustainable business practices worldwide.
In addition to reaching a global standard of excellence in sustainability, last year, Yduqs joined the Public Registry of Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG), securing the Gold Seal from the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program for the credibility of its inventory; became a carbon-neutral company by offsetting GHG emissions from its direct activities; joined the “Elas lideram” (She Leads) and “Raça é prioridade” (Race is Priority) movements of the UN Global Compact in Brazil, and became an ambassador of the Educa2030 Movement, also linked to the Global Compact.
To effectively communicate its progress to all stakeholders, Yduqs launches its 2023 Integrated Report, a document grounded in a rigorous audit and assurance process carried out by PwC, an external and independent consultancy. The preparation of this report involved the active participation of over 20 different company areas, reinforcing the transparency and credibility of the information disclosed.
Furthermore, the document is enriched with a revised and expanded set of indicators from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the Integrated Reporting content elements provided by the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC). In addition to providing an analysis of recent progress and achievements, as well as an overview of teaching operations and financial results, the document offers a detailed view of the company's progress on ESG matters in 2023. It is worth noting that, in 2022, Yduqs established 24 commitments that became goals for the entire organization and are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

"We are in a continuous process of evolution here, and our Integrated Report provides an account of our progress during this period. 2023 was a spectacular year for our ESG journey; we evolved in all dimensions. We increased our rating to 'AA' with MSCI, became a carbon-neutral company, and also ambassadors of the Educa2030 Movement. I want to emphasize that, beyond genuine effort, we do not do this without management. In addition to the commitment of our senior leadership, recently, we strengthened our management through the ESG Committee, a highly competent technical team. "The advancements reflected in this edition of the report indicate that we are on the right track," highlights Romano.

Over a decade, the Integrated Report – previously titled Sustainability Report - has been an essential channel for communicating to stakeholders Yduqs' continuous commitment to sustainable practices. Recognizing the value of the work and dedication of its employees in this process, Yduqs invited some team members to share the challenges and successes of the ESG journey through the original web series, 'From Commitment to Action,' available weekly on Yduqs' YouTube.
