We are Educa2030 Movement ambassador

Yduqs is Educa 2023 ambassador, a movement to create a business alliance in the country to develop some topics such as population's education level increase, youth productive inclusion, and women careers in STEM fields acceleration. Yduqs and Globo Group were chosen by the UN Global Compact in Brazil to lead this agenda.

Movement's ambitions

Considering the business role as a fundamental actor in our society and understanding the UN Global Compact's mandate to mobilize and engage, provide support, and guide the private sector for a more prosperous and fairer world, Educa2030 focuses its efforts on companies’ roles for education in the country, looking for its own structure of professionals and business, as well as its surroundings.

The movement aims to promote the universalization of diverse education aligned with the 2030 Agenda and Human Rights.

Movement's pillars of action

Education: Raise company employees the education level, especially among more vulnerable groups, such as Black people, women, and people with disabilities, considering operations and value chain.
Productive inclusion: Promote the productive inclusion of young people aged 14 to 29, focusing on the Apprenticeship Law.
Women in STEM: Boosting the development of women in STEM careers

Education as a tool
for transformation

Yduqs’ purpose is to drive development through education, generating a positive and lasting social impact on people’s lives, the world and business.

In a culturally diverse country with social contrasts, we understand that access to quality education is the basis for social mobility for millions of people. Further toOur mission goes beyond expanding and democratizing access to education;, our mission is towe work for our students to be agents of transformation of their own histories and of society.

For us, managing our social and environmental impacts and the humanistic training of our students are managed handled with the same strictness and discipline that we apply to our economic and financial management. It is precisely in this exact scenario that our governance is united into one: a management practice expanded by ESG practices.

Technological advances, environmental challenges and the need to prepare millions of people for the job market are the foremost topics in today’s world – and we know that education is at the heart of it all, as a path and tool for the change we want to see.

We undertake public commitments with serious partners

We have been signatories to the United Nations Global Compact and the Ethos Institute since June 2021. These are important drivers of internal and external stakeholder engagements an aid in the dissemination of our group’s good practices.

Committed Company: In 2023, we officially embraced the commitments of the "Elas Lideram 2030" and "Raça é Prioridade" movements. These initiatives, linked to the UN Global Compact, strive to accelerate the objectives of the 2030 Agenda by concentrating on advancing gender and racial equity within companies. Additionally, we have become part of the pioneering iDiversa B3 index, established by B3 to promote the inclusion of women and individuals of color within the Brazilian corporate landscape.

Advancement in our environmental agenda: in 2023 we joined the Public Registry of Emissions, a platform developed by the Brazilian Program GHG Protocol (PBGHG), which helps national companies publish their Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions inventories, and we have obtained the Gold Seal from PBGHG, which certifies that our inventory is complete and verified by an external and independent company.

In 2023, we also became a member company of SIGA Latin America (Sport Integrity Global Alliance), a world-leading organization in sports integrity, reinforcing our commitment to transparent partnerships and promoting good governance in the sports environment.

Driven by our people

Recognizing and learning from diversity is a challenge we are addressing. We understand that only a diverse company can create connection, understand pain and challenges and see solutions. Here at Yduqs, the DNA of our educational institutions has naturally led us to be one of the most diverse organizations in the country. Due to the wide range of student profiles we serve, our nationwide presence and our activity, in terms of representativeness and diversity, we are already in a position that companies of our size can only envisage achieving within the next ten years.

Actions represent a competitive differential, increase our human capital, contribute to the constructingon of innovative solutions and drive transformation and mobilization inside and outside our organization. We have four groups: Racial Diversity, Gender Equality, Sexual and Gender Diversity (LGBTQIAP+) and Inclusion of Special Needs People

Mobiliza

Mobiliza – Volunteer Program

Mobiliza is a project connecting people and volunteering. We are aware of our responsibility as agents of transformation, whether as a company or individually. The program is structured around three pillars (Education, Social Development and Environment and Health) and we always seek to encourage adherence by our employees and teachers, as a way to increase empathy and look at social actions.

Trainee

Exclusive Trainee Program for black people

Yduqs was the first educational organization in the country to launch a trainee program exclusively for black people, with nationwide reach. We seek to invest in training new talent and future black and brown leaders in the education sector. Through the program, trainees can accelerate their careers and have great opportunities within the organization.

Our Commitments to ESG Dimensions

Yduqs, through its teaching institutions, has been working to strengthen the social pillar for over 50 years – it is certainly in this dimension that we have the greatest positive impact. Our human, social and intellectual development agenda is based on the understanding that education, work and diversity are aspects of the same transformation. We help thousands of people materialize this transformation every year.

The expansion and diversification of higher education institutions allow us to reach students from social classes, with varied life goals and expectations regarding academic education. We find solutions that enable individualized quality learning in all geographic regions, in municipalities with a wide variety of infrastructures. Our greatest asset is our faculty and employee, who are committed to and engaged with the Company's business model and organizational culture.

Extensionism and social projects: expanding social contribution

Extension activities are a second layer of social contribution by Yduqs and its educational institutions. Part of the training process we offer is hands-on, and that has enormous value for communities. We maintain more than 300 practice agencies in different areas - including legal advice, medical and dental care, psychological support - and, in many cases, these are the only services available for that location. At no cost to individuals nor to the Government, these services are provided by our students, under the supervision of our professor, and benefit almost 500,000 people a year.

As one of the largest education groups in Brazil, YDUQS is a reference in environmental education and maintains one of the most comprehensive environmental management programs in the sector. We are committed to operating with environmental responsibility and promoting sustainable development through environmental education—whether by providing educational content or by encouraging and implementing climate-related projects.

In our operations, we strive to reduce the environmental impact of our activities by adopting up-to-date management practices that comply with current laws and regulations, with a strong focus on the sustainable management of resources such as water, waste, and energy. Strategic guidelines drive this work, which includes eco-efficiency initiatives, selective waste collection, waste reduction efforts, and the support of projects related to environmental and climate issues.

We recognize that climate change is a global challenge, and we are committed to contributing to a positive climate agenda. In 2024, YDUQS developed its Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory for the 2023 base year, which underwent independent verification and was included—once again—in the Public Emissions Registry. The inventory achieved the highest level of excellence in the program, earning the Gold Seal from the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program. In line with its ESG goals, YDUQS also offset 7,946 tCO2e of total emissions (Scopes 1 and 2 from the 2023 inventory), positioning itself as a Carbon Neutral company and reinforcing its commitment to carbon emissions neutrality.

Complementing these efforts, YDUQS also reports its climate-related information annually to the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), reinforcing its transparency and alignment with global best practices in managing climate risks and opportunities.

Follow our progress on the environmental agenda:

2020

We completed a Distributed Generation project, with the installation of a solar plant in the state of Rio de Janeiro, with the capacity to produce 190 MWh/month.

2021

We started the greenhouse gas emissions inventory with a focus on key activities, covering direct responsibilities (Scope 1) and indirect responsibilities for electricity (Scope 2).

2022

We strengthened controls with Scopes 1 and 2 and expanded this process to measure the indirect emissions of our value chain (Scope 3).

We launched our 24 ESG goals, six of which are related to the environmental dimension, meeting 3 SDGs. One of them is to impact two million people with environmental content.

2023

For the first time, our Greenhouse Gas Inventory was audited by an external partner and registered in the RPE, achieving the Gold Seal of the PBGHG Protocol.

We impacted almost 300 thousand students with environmental content and implemented 10 clean energy projects in our HEIs. Furthermore, we became a carbon-neutral company.

2024

For the second consecutive year, we completed our Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Inventory, which was externally audited, and achieved the Gold Seal from the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program.

We offset 7,946 tCO2e through the purchase of renewable energy carbon credits. YDUQS selected the Fundão-Santa Clara Project, a hydroelectric complex located on the Jordão River (Paraná), composed of both large- and small-scale power plants.

In addition, we report our climate and environmental data to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). We were also included in the Índice de Sustentabilidade Empresarial (Corporate Sustainability Index - ISE) and the Índice de Carbono Eficiente (Efficient Carbon Index - ICO2), both managed by B3.

Regulatory Environment, Ethics, Integrity, and Transparency remain core commitments of the company in its efforts to expand access to quality education. We are the only education company in the country to receive an "AA" rating from MSCI, a global leader in ESG practices.

When we joined the Novo Mercado in 2008, we became part of an exclusive group of publicly traded companies in Brazil with high standards of corporate governance. We are also included in the Differentiated Corporate Governance Index, which groups companies with the best governance practices according to B3's criteria.

For sustainability governance, we have an ESG Committee, composed of employees from various departments and levels, responsible for monitoring and executing our action plans and goal dashboard. New Sustainability Strategy and ESG Goals

Our strategy has evolved — and we remain steadfast in our commitment to sustainability and the future of education.

We recognize that the world is constantly changing. That’s why, in light of the dynamic national and global landscape, both within and beyond YDUQS, we remain focused and committed to the ongoing review of our Sustainability Strategy and ESG Goals.

In 2024, we reached a major milestone: we exceeded our annual targets by more than 100%, surpassing the goals outlined in our 2022–2027 public targets dashboard.

This achievement underscored the importance of taking the next step: rethinking our sustainability strategy to address current challenges and align with new business priorities.

That’s how the new YDUQS Sustainability Strategy 2025–2030 was born. This collaborative effort was grounded in a double materiality assessment and informed by meaningful dialogue with our stakeholders and internal teams.

Estratégia e Metas ESG

New strategy, same commitment with transformation

The new Sustainability Strategy centers on the issues that truly matter to our sector and to everyone connected to our mission. It reaffirms our commitment to inclusive, accessible, and high-quality education — now with an even sharper focus on generating real, lasting positive impact.

All of this is aligned with 8 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, guiding our actions with responsibility and a long-term vision.

Solid values, governance, and ethics guide every step we take in our ESG strategy. We have built a legacy of exemplary responsibility in our sector and in this section, we seek to present some initiatives on how we shape a sustainable and responsible future.

Human Rights Policy

Beyond education: Yduqs launches Human Rights Policy

We believe that education transforms lives. And for this transformation to be complete, we need to go beyond the classroom. Our new Human Rights Policy is another step in that direction. It reflects our commitment to building a more just and equitable world, one in which everyone has equal opportunities. This policy is not just a document, but also a manifesto of our values and a guide for our actions. We want all our stakeholders – students, employees, partners and community members – to feel they are a part of this journey and contribute to a more humanized and sustainable future.

Política Direitos Humanos

  • Guarantee of the Right to Education - We provide quality education, fostering social mobility and the holistic development of our students as a foundation for transforming their lives and contributing to society.
  • Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion - We promote an inclusive workplace environment, ensuring equal opportunities and eliminating barriers to the full participation of all people, regardless of their individual characteristics.
  • Valuing Freedom of Expression - We encourage a multi-cultural environment, in which opinions and ideas are respected, ensuring that constructive dialogue is constantly present.
  • Respect for working conditions - We maintain fair working relationships together with respect for labor laws, safety and a healthy workplace, promoting employee well-being and development.
  • Combating Forced and Child Labor - We reaffirm zero tolerance for practices analogous to slavery and child labor, ensuring ethical and responsible operations.
  • Promoting gender equality - We adopt public goals of female representation and wage equity, with initiatives that strengthen women's empowerment.

The Human Rights Policy applies to all employees, suppliers, partners and third parties associated with Yduqs. Through ongoing training, we ensure that the guidelines are widely understood and applied throughout the organization.

We rely on an anonymous platform, the Confidential Channel, to report any deviations or violations related to human rights. All complaints are dealt with rigorously and transparently.

Access the full Human Rights Policy and learn more about our commitment to building a fairer, more equal and responsible society.

Responsible Marketing

Responsible Marketing Policy

The Responsible Marketing Policy is one of the pillars of our ESG strategy, which reinforces our commitment to establishing a high standard of relationship with all our stakeholders. The policy defines the principles and guidelines for promoting our products and services in an ethical, transparent, and socially conscious manner, with the main goal of balancing our business interests with social, environmental, and cultural concerns.

The document applies to all our communication channels, including voice, print, and digital. When our marketing and advertising activities involve external partnerships, we select partners who share our values, practices, and policies.

Marketing Responsável

We ensure certainty in our marketing and advertising communications, providing complete information about our products, services, and conditions.

We use fair language to convey relevant information to our consumers. We seek to differentiate content and commercial promotion, including sponsorships.

We work consistently to comply with all applicable laws and regulations to protect our student and customer data.

Our employees are trained and individually assume the commitments outlined in the policy as part of their daily routines. Additionally, we require our partners and suppliers to comply with the same standards.

We encourage everyone to report any incidents of marketing or publicity that violate the principles outlined in this Policy, maintaining an open channel for this purpose (marketingresponsavel@yduqs.com.br). All reports are forwarded to our Media and Marketing department. Our legal department oversees the legal compliance of marketing activities, which works closely with our marketing department.

Privacidade e Segurança de Dados

Privacy and Data Security

Appropriate use of Personal Data

We have a responsibility to protect and effectively use the personal data entrusted by our users, and this is a strategic issue for both Yduqs and its teaching institutions. To fulfill this goal, the Data Protection Officer (DPO), supported by the Privacy Office team, works to ensure the highest possible level of compliance with the provisions of the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and its general goals.

Our compliance with the LGPD is rigorously monitored by senior management, especially through the Risk Committee, which is responsible for monitoring the most significant corporate risks to which the company is exposed. In addition, we have a Privacy Committee made up of managers from sensitive departments to data protection.

Processing of personal data: record of all company processes and routines involving the use of personal data in any way.

Elaboration of policies that govern various aspects of the use of personal data.

Systemic protections to guarantee the security and proper use of our data subjects' personal data

Rights of data subjects: clear information for all stakeholders.

  • External Privacy Policy: available on the websites of our teaching institutions, which, in general terms, presents to the data subjects (whether they are students, alumni, candidates, employees, shareholders, among others) the forms, procedures and goals of the processing of personal data carried out by company. Click here to lear more.
  • Internal Privacy Policy: purpose of teaching how our employees should use data and which precautions should be observed when using personal information.
  • Retention and Disposal Policy: determines how employees must dispose of documents and files containing personal data, in order to protect the privacy of data subjects after the processing of their information has ended.
  • Incident Management Policy: establishes the flow to be followed and the measures to be taken in the event of any security incident involving personal data. Click here to lear more.

Our main corporate systems are protected against intrusions and attacks, following the strictest security standards on the market. Our most relevant systems have back-ups so that catastrophic events – accidental or not – have their adverse effects mitigated. We also undergo annual cybersecurity audits and have Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems, which monitor several relevant file transfer channels, preventing the sending of personal data to domains outside the company and preventing information leakage.

The websites of our teaching institutions have privacy notices about the use of cookies and links to our privacy policy. In the personal data collection forms for registration, there is a checkbox in which the user is informed about the purposes of collecting that information and which must be checked. In addition, our educational contract and our employment contracts have data protection clauses that explain to data subjects the treatment of their personal information in the context of each of these relationships. It is important to highlight that all our employees undergo mandatory training on this subject when they join the company.

Our teaching institutions have Privacy Portals, in which data subjects can make various requests related to the use of their information. Through these requests, they can access the data we hold about them, obtain information about the sharing of their data with third parties, and express objections to certain forms of treatment, among other options.

This responsibility and care are also extended to our partners and suppliers. We implement a process to assess the privacy environment of our potential suppliers, ensuring that third parties that provide services to the company adopt policies, practices, and procedures that ensure the proper use and security of personal information that may be shared throughout the scope of a particular relationship.
